Detailed guide for SPN 100 FMI 15
Back to top ↑What SPN 100 FMI 15 means
SPN 100 identifies engine oil pressure. FMI 15 indicates a valid reading above the normal operating range at the least severe level.
The ECM considers the value abnormal, but it has not reached the most severe FMI 0 threshold.
What to check
Compare oil pressure with the manufacturer's specification at the current engine speed and operating temperature.
If the electronic reading appears implausible, inspect the pressure sensor and circuit. If actual pressure is genuinely high, investigate oil viscosity, temperature and pressure-regulation concerns using OEM service information.
Do not replace components from the SPN/FMI alone. Diagnostic thresholds vary by engine.
